February 2010 - ¡¡New!! - call for foresight workshops & support to advanced course projects

A call for foresight workshops is open since 25 February (15 k€/FWS; up to 5 FWS).

A total of four advanced course projects will be supported in 2010 (complementary support, 5 k€/course).

Results: Two 'open-topic' FSW have been selected (cf. Foresight Workshops in the Activities page). Two flagships and one FSW on 'pre-determined topics' should be selected shortly (after the ongoing review of proposals).

December 2008 - closed - call for proposals for EUR-OCEANS conferences and flagships

Opening date: 10 December 2008.
Closing date: 9 January 2009.

Results: Three proposals for the organisation of EUR-OCEANS conferences were selected during the Council meeting of 22 January 2009 in Brussels:

• Integration of Biogeochemistry and Ecosystems: Comparison across Regional Programs
• Dynamics and role of mesoscale and/or sub-mesoscale activity in ocean productivity in a global change context
• Indicators for an ecosystem-based fisheries management.

A single flagship proposal was received; the Council decided to postpone flagship decisions and organise a new call in 2009.
