The EUR-OCEANS Scientific Council, composed of six external, renowned experts in the scientific fields of the Network, has been invited to review the scientific advances of EUR-OCEANS during the meeting of the Network Steering Committee (NSC) held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on 20-22 November 2007. The scientific review comprised: - a general introduction by Paul Tréguer and Louis Legendre, the Scientific Directors of the Network of Excellence; - presentations of significant advances in the EUR-OCEANS science domains by the Work Packages and Systems leaders; and presentations by PhD students or post-doc fellows on specific topics.
The Scientific Council was expected to: (1) assess the advances made by EUR-OCEANS in the different scientific domains from 2005 to 2007 and (2) make recommendations in regard to the scientific priorities of the Network during the 4th and final year (2008). Attached is their final report.
