Researcher in ecological modelling for EcoScenarios EUR-OCEANS flagship programme - Centre for Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis (CEES), University of Oslo

This 6-month position is open at the Centre for Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis (CEES), Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Oslo. The successful candidate will be part of an international team working on the EUR‐OCEANS Flagship project titled Developing seasonal and spatial foodweb models through novel statistical modelling – tools for constructing scenarios under future global change (EcoScenarios). The position is funded by the EUR‐OCEANS consortium.

CEES is a centre of excellence for integrative biological research and is well‐funded. It provides a stimulating research environment, situated at the Department of Biology, with many young international and Norwegian scientists working on a variety of theoretical and empirical topics within ecology, evolution, population genetics, genomics, phylogenetics, molecular biology, and statistical methodology. CEES is chaired by Nils Chr. Stenseth and currently employs 20 faculty members, 45 postdocs/researchers, 27 PhD students and 25 MSc students. Information about the centre can be found at:
